Any PA Public Health Nurses Here?

  1. I need to start researching the Public Health job market in Philly area. I need to job hunt for facilities that are considered undeserved and have a HPSA Score of 14 and higher. (Contract with HRSA). Are ANY of the clinics in Philly better for new grads over others? Is the Philly Department of Health a place that I can learn and work as a new grad? Any info, any insight, any leads are greatly appreciated. Also, thoughts on Prison Nursing in PA?

Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) are designated by HRSA as having shortages of primary care, dental care, or mental health providers and may be geographic (a county or service area), population (e.g., low income or Medicaid eligible) or facilities (e.g., federally qualified health centers, or state or federal prisons).
