Peer Interview for Med/Surg Position-New Grad!

Published

Hi Everyone!

After months and months of sending out resumes and applications, I've been asked to go on a 2nd interview for a Med/Surg unit at a busy hospital. The 1st interview went very well, according to HR. I'm so, so nervous and anxious about this position. I want to show how badly I want the position (and I do!) and need to make the best impression possible. I'm wondering if anyone has ever been a part of a Peer Interview...what should I expect? What kind of questions will I be asked/what questions should I ask in return? I'm basically willing to do ANYTHING to get this job. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!

congrats for getting an interview.

is that the same as the panel interview?

Hi! I got an interview the same day as my interview with the Nurse Manager. In the peer interview, other staff nurses will be with you in the room asking any questions from your experiences, about you and even unrelated stuff. Got questions about what cases have i handled to if i have a pet cat or dog. Don't be nervous, its gonna be somewhat casual. Be confident and good luck!
