I have to create a project that depicts the impact of a pediatric patient's illness on a family that i have been taking care of. The patient has cerebral palsy, microencephaly, GERD, and developmental delays. he is legally blind, but has good hearing. he has a normal twin brother and an older brother. his family is not poor, but is not overly wealthy. He lives with his father but his parents are recently divorced and his brothers move back and forth. i am supposed to make a creative project that depicts the impact of the illness on the patient and his family. I need some ideas.

What do you mean by a creative project? Is that like a care plan or concept map?
like a song, a piece of art, a movie, a play, something like that. we are not allowed to do a ppt and it needs to not really scientific. the point is to emphasize the art of nursing.

Maybe if you start by asking the parents what the impact has been on the family, something they tell you will inspire your creativity. Perhaps they can even provide you with photographs & you could make a photo collage or something.

The first thing that came to mind (FWIW ) is something r/t the grief process of the loss of the normal baby they expected (even if they had ultrasounds prior to delivery- the first thing they thought with a + pregnancy test is 'normal' baby).
Also, the stress between the parents- if it happened after the birth; that effects the other kids tremendously, and could even result in jealousy..... just some ideas :)
