In my current job, working with medically complex children in foster care, working with the bio parents is the biggest challenge.
Families. Or lack thereof. Both have their challenges.
This is my unique challenge in my current role- I have a child who has lived in a pre-adoptive home since he was 3 months old. He thinks his foster parents are "Mommy" and "Daddy." The state recently lost their case to terminate parental rights (his biological father showed up after the care and protection) and now he has to move in with his biological father, who he doesn't even speak the same language as.
