What size chest tubes do you stock in your ED for peds cases? I feel like we are overloaded with multiple sizes that we don't need. What are your PAR levels?

I'll double-check what we keep on our sternotomy cart in PICU tomorrow and get back to you. I'm thinking we have 14Fr, 18Fr and 22Fr but I might be wrong...

We have 1 of each size in the pedi crash cart, using the Broselow chart, and in our standby stock we have 2 of each size, pedi to adult.
Our sternotomy cart stocks two each of 22Fr through 28Fr.

I am trying to get our Broselow cart completed (it was a mess). I have a question for those that have stocked their carts off of the items on the broselow chart. What manufacturer do you use for your pediatric size chest tubes? Do you carry the straight or curved . Our purchasing department is unfamiliar with these and I would like to give them as much information as possible. Thanks!
Our tubes are straight. Can't think of the brand we carry at the moment but it'll come to me.

Argyle is the brand I've seen most often. We carry #10-22. Always straight. You might want to consider the Argyle "Turkel" kits. They are, essentially, an over-the-needle device that are very easy to place especially in a pediatric emergency. I'll try to find the link for you and post it. I've put these in myself and they are much better than doing it "old school".
