Hi im waiting for my nclex results in California. I was wondering if anyone has had a false positive with the pearson vue trick, meaning they received the good pop up and but actually failed the Nclex? I received the emailed indicating i completed the examination and waited 24-48 hrs after the nclex exam before trying the trick and got the "good pop up" but it has been 3 days now and i still do not see my license information. My friends got their results in california within 24-48 hrs.

Hey @RNkn2019,

I have never heard of anyone getting a 'false positive' using the PVT, and believe me I scoured the internet and online forums looking for the same exact information 🙃. However, I have heard the opposite happening occasionally (getting a 'false negative' aka the bad pop-up, but actually passing).

Just try to relax and take it easy over the next few days. I did the PVT trick  and got the good pop-up, but I kept thinking "I could be the first person that gets a false positive". I drove myself crazy 🤪. It was enough to give me peace of mind so I could adult and clean my house for the day, but I honestly couldn't relax until I got my official results.

I honestly felt like the period after my exam where I was awaiting my results was worse than the actual NCLEX itself! Just try your best to keep busy and keep your mind on other things!😊

Keep us posted!

  @GlitterPrincess

Thanks for the advice! How long did it take for you to receive the results?

@RNkn2019

I got mine in less than 24 hours (I wrote at 0800 Feb 5th finishing around 0900, and got my results on Feb 6th at 0830). I live in Canada though (not sure if that actually makes a difference or not). Most of my peers got them in less than 24hrs, but I have a friend who lives in another province and she got her results after three days. She also had technical difficulties at the start of her exam (as in her computer just spontaneously shut off/died on her on her second question). I am not sure if that influenced how long it took her to get her results back or not, but I have heard of similar things effecting wait times. I read once that someone had difficulties scanning their palms at the check-in process, and their results took much longer than their peers. So, I mean sometimes things can happen. In all cases everyone got the good pop-up, and it turned out to be accurate regardless of the delay in their results! 😊

I had to wait 6 weeks for my results back in the day. I don't remember worrying at all, l  figured I passed.
