I did my NCLEX-RN on Friday October 3 2014 and I did 188 questions. Towards the end they were so easy so I thought I had passed. When I got to the parking lot, I went to pearson website and tried the trick. Guess what? It took me to CC section and I was so sad that I had failed. Well, today, Monday 6th I checked my name on Board of Nursing and I was not there.Tried the trick again and it was taking straight to CC (payment section.) I decided to pay and get the quick results. Guess what I first saw? Four letter word "PASS"
I jumped up and down the apartment and neighbors though I was high on something.
So, bottom line first: The trick never works 100%. Did not work for me.

People have been saying that the trick doesn't work anymore. Your situation seems to confirm it.

The PVT still works, the process is now different. Previously, the CC page meant failure. Now, you have to enter any CC information (even an expired one) and click submit. If you are charged, it's a fail. If you get a message in RED that says another registration cannot be made at this time, you passed! I got the message in RED and passed.
How soon after the actual exam can we do that trick? 1 hour? 12 hours? 24 hours?

Let me guess you signed up today to post this without reading the 50 threads on this forum about the trick being changed a month ago.
You can try the trick soon after you finish your exam. I initially wasn't going to do it and just wait 48 hours for my quick results, but became restless and tried it in the middle of the night! If you get a message saying your results are on hold, just try back in an hour or so.

people....people....PEOPLE!
Some notes:
1-Everyone is taken to the credit card page now. It means nothing, does not indicate pass or fail.
2-Once you submit your credit card information, you absolutely DO run the risk of being charged $200...after all, you ARE authorizing it!
3- Since the exam is scored twice, a possible 'pass' on the first check could turn to a 'fail' later on.....and vice versa.
4- Checking the results prior to 24 hours passing is your least-likely-to-be-correct result. It might be correct....it might not. Are you willing to play with $200 to see?
5- Using a card with insufficient funds typically results in a 'card declined' message. This indicates only that it attempted to charge you, NOT whether you passed or failed. See #3.
Considering all of the above.....your best move it to either WAIT until official results are received, OR you can take some risks with your funds. If you have $200 to toss out, you can always send it to me
