Doctors in the Cedars-Sinai Neonatal Intensive Car Unit are using a device known as the Pea Pod to measure the body composition of preemies. This helps to better assess their nutritional needs. The Pea Pod looks like a mini MRI machine and gives results in about 3 minutes.

The data is used to help facilitate healthy weight gain by personalizing nutritional supplements.
