Hey everyone,
I know there has been many posts about PDAs but I am looking into buying one after all the good things I have heard about them from all of you. I just need help...I see that there are alot of different brands of PDAs. I want the newest one, but one I will get alot of use out of. I dont need a camera or a mp3 player but I do want to be able to download all the nurses programs that can help me through clinicals and everything. What woud best suite me?

Hey there...I have picked through the boards for months and finally settled on a Tungsten E2, it's the follow up to the Tunsten E. It doesn't have many bells or whistles. I found it on buydig.com for $205 brand new which is the cheapest I've been able to find it. I also bought a memory card to be able to store nursing programs. I got it 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It does have an mp3 player, is bluetooth enabled and with extra software/hardware can be made WI-FI accessible also.
Hope this helps.

I just bought the Tungsten T5 to the tune of $500.00 Canadian. We are having to upgrade our computer to windows XP because for some reason with Windows 98 it will not hotsync.
Tonight hubby will try again to hotsync and set it all up. Not sure at this moment if it was our old version of windows or just what the problem is.
You might want to ask the store about computer compatibility first before you purchase it.
Anyone else have that problem?

Windows98 was very clunky and unreliable. I sure don't miss daily computer crashes with the window scolding me for improperly shutting the computer off.

I have the Palm Tungstun T3. I'm sure there are newer ones out there now but this one has served me quite well. No problems loading programs, etc.

Tigerdirect has the tungsten T5 for approx. $310 after mail in rebate right now. This is the PDA that I want to get but won't be able to get it until late next month before school starts.

I just got the Palm Zire 31, it's not the newest model and doesn't have wireless internet or anything but it was reasonably priced, 129.99. It has a colored screen, can be used as an MP3 player, and it's really easy to use. I will probably need more memory for it but any model you buy will most likely need a memory upgrade.
Plus it's a pretty blue!
I'm not sure which PDA to get I was looking a few months back. I think I might want something with a voice recorder and that's about the only thing the T5 doesn't have (no camera either, ok with me). I googled a low price ($295) at A&M Photo World:

I just purchased a Tugsten T5 myself and love it!! I got mine for 299.00.
Only about 30.00 more than the T3, but it has alot of space in it!!! enough that I don't have to worry about using extra memory, I really wanted things readily available, so not to be using a memory card if I didn't have to.
My question is,
For those who have theirs set up already,
What programs do you have set up on yours and what do you find the most useful as far as software.
where did you purchase it???
Thanks
