payrate for LTC care nurse?

Published

Hi,

I was thinking about taking a part-time position at a small non-acute Massachusetts nursing home. I am not sure what to expect for a payrate, I currently work in Rhode Island where I am responsible for 32 residents and I have a med tech. I make $29.00 a plus $1.00 diff. So, at this MA facility I would have 30 residents alone, no other nurse. What would the pay be about?

Specializes in Pediatrics, ER.

How much experience do you have? Are you an RN or LPN?

Hi,

I have been working in LTC for seven years and I am a RN

Specializes in Geriatrics, Transplant, Education.

I'd say you'd make at least what you make now if not more. I'm a new-ish grad RN, just under one year of experience in a LTC facility & I make $25/hr.

I would be ok with that. I will find out tomorrow what the rate is!

Thanks!
