Paying re exam fee but NOT registering????

Published

This is twice now I've called boards recently (once in October and again just today) and basically what I got from them both was that I pay for registration fee after recieving my ATT rather than before.

I was told I pay for re-exam fee AND registration fee BEFORE I get my ATT , plus this is what I've done before (Yes, I've taken the exam more than once)

Which information is correct?

You can't register for an exam until you have been authorized to take the exam. Until your board of nursing issues the ATT for you, you have no authorization to test, so you can't register yet. You aren't able to test until they allow it, when you get the ATT, then that's their permission to register.

From my experience you cannot SCHEDULE your test until you get your ATT. Physically, yes you can register before your ATT I've done it before and have done it recently.

Here's information from pearsonvue.com/NCLEX, with emphasis on #3 and #4

am I missing something? Please leave links so I can verify all information regarding the ATT/Registration ! Thank you!

sorry then I don't know, must be confusing registering with scheduling. I don't see how you can be expected to register for an exam before you have authorization to even take it, but if that's how they do it it's not for me to change! did you call pearson vue?

You apply for your license by exam and pay the fee to your BON, register for your exam and pay fee to Pearson Vue, receive your ATT, and then schedule your test with Pearson Vue.

The whole basis for the Pearson Vue trick is to attempt to register (and Pay) for another exam after you completed the previous exam.

Hi I'm also re applying to take the exam for the 2nd time. I'm a bit confused. Were you able to reapply online? Or do I have to send it out? I went on breeze and didnt see an application to reapply. Just an "initial exam" application. Is that what you did? Thanks

Hi, I've seen some of your threads regarding reapplivation online tru breeze. Were you able to receive your ATT yet despite your school's issue? Have you scheduled your exam yet? Thanks

Hey! I went through these steps & just got my ATT. When I try to schedule my exam, It’s prompting me to pay $200 again. Have you encountered this issue?
