I've been accepted to an accelerated BSN program. I already have an undergrad degree (BS). It's a one year program that interested me because the university paid your tuition and then you owed them 2 years of service. Due to the economy the program has been disbanded. I'm not sure how to quickly secure $32,000 + room and board. Any suggestions? I know I can get a student loan for part of it but that will still leave another $20,000 remaining! HELP!!!!! I only have a few months to figure this all out.

Can we say scholarships?
Where do you suggest I start looking? I searched online (I'm in my 30s and a single mom w/ two kids!). All I came up with was "grant university" which looks like an online scam. The university says they won't be granting any scholarships this year either.

I have been looking into private student loans and I believe the following are still making loans (I'm sure there are more too) Chase, Wells Fargo and Sallie Mae. There is information on line about all of them. I don't know about credit requirements and income requirements but I found phone numbers online for all three and talked to someone. Good luck.
Every college has a financial aid dept that can direct you to scholarships. There a lots of nursing scholarships at my school (but it is a CC and those scholarships reflect tuition...). For me, it is more challenging because I have a bachelors already so I am excluded from much of the financial aid and scholarships, I am not a minority, I did not graduate from our 2 flunking HSs (Raines and Ribault have been F schools for years and are 99% non-white).
However, there ARE scholarships I am eligible for and I will be applying for those. Best place is to start with the school's financial aid office.
