Paying for LPN school- Philadelphia, PA

Published

Hi,

I am hopefully going to start LPN school in September, right outside of Philadelphia in Delaware County.

Does anyone know of health care agencies that pay for school in exchange for a few years of nursing?

There was a thread about this, but all the places mentioned pay for a RN degree, and you have to go through their program.

My credit will be horrible for the next few years, so private loans are not an option. I have applied for financial aid. I expect to be getting some money (grants or stafford loans), but I'm assuming it won't pay for all of it.

The school said they will be sending out some information in a few weeks about financial aid, but I thought I would get a jump on it!

Has anyone heard of any programs or used one for paying for LPN school?

I will post this in the PA section also.

Thank you!!

Go to your local employment office and ask them about WIA...

It is a not so publicised grant..

They vary from state to state and county to county, and you will have to do some testing and papter work, but it covered what my pell grant didn't for my schooling and all it cost me was about 4-5 hours of my time.... So deff worth it.

Also paid for anything required for me to have for clinicals.. Shoes, stethascope, scissors, pen light, etc.. I just had to show them a list from the school of what I needed.

But you need to talk to them now, because here they register you in July and December.

Hope this helps

Thank you:nurse: I will definitely be checking that out!

I'm not exactly sure how it works.
