FT Techs: What are the most popular and least popular days of the week to work?

So I recently got a job as a clinical assistant, and as I understand it we get to sign up for the days we want. In other words, it's not as if I've been assigned every "Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday", but I pick my schedule.

Since I'm a newbie, I was thinking of choosing the days of the week that were the least popular. Not only would it endear me to the other clinical assistants, but perhaps if I showed my willingness to take the more unpopular days, I'd develop a reputation for really putting my job ahead of everything else, if that makes sense.

Aren't Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays the most popular days? I would imagine so since there's probably people who work or go to school the other days and can only do weekends.

You should ask the person who does the schedule at your workplace because this varies depending on your unit. Or you can leave your schedule blank and let them know that it's ok to give you any shifts.
