Patient Care Technician interview at Kaiser

Published

hi,

i got a call today for a patient care tech job at kaiser in ca. i am really nervous and the interview is in two days! what kind of interview questions did you get asked as a cna/pct?

thanks!

I know it has been a while since this post but I just received a call from Kaiser for the same position. Been applying for years and they finally called me. Did you get the position? What type of questions did they ask you? Any other tips? thanks!

Did you both get the job? How did you apply? Email walk-in? I've been wanting to work at kaiser since forever. I just applied

I was contacted by phone by a recruiter and was told my resume would be forwarded directly to the hiring manager for the department looking for employees.

So far I still have not been contacted past that.

I have been applying to Kaiser for over 5 years.

I spoke with a recruiter who told me not to apply to any positions Kaiser lists until I have looked over every single qualification requirement that they request for the position and if I dont fit them all, then dont apply because i dont qualify.

Thanks. That's good. At least you received a call from HR. I always here to work at kaiser, you must know someone.

That is what assumed too but the recruiter kept stating over and over that it doesnt matter who you know, even if your whole family works at kaiser, you still have to go through the same process as everyone else. Find that a lil hard to believe because that has to give you a little bump up.

I agree @gfrivera89 . Why would some job applications ask "Do any friends/family work at this company?" lol

I recently was hired at Kaiser in Northern California for the PCT position. I've been there for a few weeks now. Once I was contacted by HR it took the manager 2 weeks to call me. I was interview the next day. Rocked the interview!!! ?

However it took over 2 months for the background check to be complete and all the HR paper to be done. But once my LVN license come in the mail, I will be paid as a LVN (because it's in own union contract). Keep applying everyone, I work with a lot of great ppl who love there job. ☺️

Interview questions include:

Why do you want to work for Kaiser?

What do you bring to the table?

What would you do if you had an issue with a coworker?

What would your old manager say about you?

*You took a pt. vitals: T-98.8 ; P-48 ; R- 20 ; B/P- 85/45 ; O2- 98%. What would you do?

Hope this helps

Thanks for sharing your interview tips :) Very helpful. I have contacted the Executive Director at Kaiser but he only directed me to the HR which she said "if we have an opening for a mobility technician, you can find it on kaiser website." I really want to go around HR and make this happen. lol

Try to set up notifications to your email for the positions that you are interested in. I heard that kaiser only looks at the first few qualified applications. So apply right away.
