Passing of a very special young man

On February 4, 2007, the life of a very special young man came to an end. He was the innocent bystander in a violent shooting in Pittsburgh that left him a paraplegic 6 years ago. I had the honor of caring for him while doing agency nursing. His infectious smile, his positive outlook, and most of all, his ability to forgive the man who put him in the situation. He was visiting his sister in Pgh and was hit by a bullet. He was an advocate and outspoken to end racially violent crimes. He was an avid Steeler fan, loved and was loved by his family and by the staff that took care of him. Sleep well my friend, keep watch over us till we meet again.
