I'm four months away from being done with the LPN program at Palm Beach Community College. I'll be taking the ACE chanllege book one test soon to test out of the first semester of the RN program. Does anyone have any advice on taking AND PASSING ACE Book 1. Thanks.

I passed with 86%. The test was not bad at all. However I did study for a month.

congrates.

So how was the exam, what was on it. what did the exam seem

to focus on the most.

Will you have exactly 2 semesters left to complete the LPN-RN?

I read the Fondations of Nursing ATI book cover to cover around three times. If you know that book youll pass easily. That was mostly what was one the test. I also got NCLEX 3000 RN from someone , the CD that had questions that were actually on the test. Drugs to study are Coumadin, Nitroglycerine, Heparin, Aspirin, Digoxin. Know what to look for if and IV drip doesnt malfunctions. Lots of saftey questions and stuff you should not do. Know patient teaching for Diabetes. The Med Surg is basic overview stuff. Stuff you will know withouth studying if you've covered the topics in school. Lots of Psycosocial questions, theraputic responses. Kaplan is also a great study aid for stratigies for test taking. I have to take ACE 2 and pass then I will only have a year to do LPN-RN.

I'm an LPN student who is hoping to continue on for my RN...I have been researching the LPN-RN advanced placement programs in my area.

One local college requires that you test of out the first year..ACE exam.

Does anyone know anything about the

ACE (Acceleration Challenge Exam I -Book One: Foundations of Nursing) exam?

I went to the Excelsior website to see what sort of study material was available and had no luck finding any.

Thanks

Yeah i graduated from there too, you have to go to the information session, and they will tell you how to get the study materials for ace 1, and ace2. There are reviews out there, but at the review session, they sell them cheaper. Good Luck!

Does anyone know abot the Ae book 1 challenge test? What do i study, and how hard is it?

I am also hoping to do the LPN to RN transition program that they are getting ready to start in 2010 at the community college where I live. We have to take the test in October. My nursing instructor told us like the poster above to study the ATI Foundations book and we would be fine. I also had another instructor to tell me that they have never had a student that was doing the advance placement that they use to have for the LPN to RN program fell the ACE test she said it was really easy. I have not taken it yet but I assume that it is stuff that you should have learned in the LPN program.

I have an ATI fundamentals book, and ATi med surg book. do you think that will work? I don't have a foundations one.

The fundamentals is the book I meant, I guess my mind is really had it. this has been our last week and boy has it been a week. But I would definitely study the fundamentals and if you feel like you need to you can study from the med surg. But she strongly advised us to look over fundamentals because that is the basis of the test from what the RN instructor told us that were going on next year. Good Luck.

I am on the waiting list at my school for august 2010 lpn to rn transition, i just need to pass the ACE I and II now to make it only 2 semesters. I just took my boards last wednesday, and passed, so i am so excited. Thank you Lane pn for the information, and i agree my mind is all over the place, i feel like if i stop, i will forget it all. So much to do, but i am sore it is worth it in the end. What school do you go to?

VGCC in North Carolina I am studying for boards now and waiting for ATT. I school will send our stuffin tomorrow so I don't know exactly when I will test. But I am just having a hard time figuring out where to start studying for NCLEX. It is so stressful already. Good luck on your test and congradulations on passing your boards.
