YAY!!! I passed Sociology today. I am so happy! I have had different things pop up, and as soon as EC receives report that I passed... I should be CPNE eligible. I still have to take EC's Eng. Comp and DSST's Intro. to World Religion, But...I can do that while I am waiting. Of course I still have to get my physical, update immun.,pass port, background check,etc...,so it will still be awhile, but at least I am closer. I am due to get an $800.00 bonus from work , sometime in August, so I am planning on putting it toward my CPNE. It would be wonderful if I could take my CPNE in Jan. 2010. Thanks to all of you who continue to nurture all of us on our journey. :D

Congratulations Traci!! I wish you much success on the CPNE journey. :yeah:

Congratulations! Hope it is smooth sailing to graduation!

Traci, you are almost to the end of the yellow brick road!!! Awesome job! You can spread out CPNE payments over several months. Check out the page that is called "FACTS"; they are the sub-contractor for payments, very easy application, no hassle at all. You need to scan and attach to email front and back copy of your LPN license, CPR certificate, health form, passport size picture. Get your picture at local Walgreen's, CVS, type store, I think they are only $10. Where do you plan to test? PM me when you can; I have some CPNE stuff that I will pass on to you; wound, etc. I knew you would be at this point soon!

Maureen,

You are an Angel! I will check out facts. I guess I need to call EC because when I renewed my license in Oct.,...I was told we were no longer receiving hard copy license in order to keep imposters down, and I did not even question it, because it made sense to me. I guess I need to double check with the board of nursing as well. I am hoping to test in Lubbock only because it is the closest site to me, but who knows. I have heard so many good things about many of the sites. Thanks for the kind words, and I will PM you. I am very interested in any tips etc. that you can pass my way. Take care! Traci:D

any suggestions on sociology? I test on the 24th

I just completed my CPNE app - I scanned everything in and uploaded it to the app and submitted it online. I didn't need my lpn license. The backgound check only took a couple of days. I got my passport photo from the local county office (the post office does them, too), had my titers from work (ask if they can give you a copy), quick trip to the doc, all in all, pretty painless. You can get stuff scanned at ups, staples, etc. I have an all in one printer, scanned stuff at home (had a few burps, my printer is on it's last legs). Best of luck to you!

EC doesn't send licenses, your state does.

And YEE-HAW!
