PASSED NCLEX 1st time....

Published

Hello all,

I would like to thank you all nurses for having this forum. I found it shortly before taking my exam. Im so glad I found out about the POP UP, that i had never heard of, and all the peoples' good vibes and words of encouragement. I would like to give you all some words of encouragement and what i did.

I took HURST review on the Jan 16th and took my test on the 30th 2012! I did the person vue POP UP about 5 hours later because my friends and i went to the mall to clear our heads. I took the test along with 8 other classmates and we all passed 1st time with 75 q and one got 80q. We all went to hurst on the 16th studied till the 28th and did our q reviews.

We all scored between 65 and 78%. I did do ATI and Saunders questions. ANother friend of mine did Kapplan but studied with our HURST book. I can tell you that i actually called to reschedule because i felt very unprepared but they only had a spot till 2 weeks later...best decision i did not to change.

I hear all these people that do 3000-5000 questions and do so many reviews..I do not think thats such a good idea, do one review keep calm and honestly if you passed nursing school you should be fine on this test. I felt like ATI actually prepared me better than HURST . Our school implemented it in my junior year and I'm glad. I did feel like the test wasn't that bad,i had a sense of the material we have all gotten it at some point in our lives but I did not remember it that well.

Was it easy no, but it was very doable. I think my class will be the first class with 100 % pass rate. They taught us well and we all prepared for it.

If you have any questions please feel free to write back.

Congratulations...
