Congrats!! I just failed the nclex on my first attempt this month. I used NRSNG the first time and this is really a good read since I'm planning on using uworld now. hopefully i pass the 2nd time.

Thank You! Yes definitely use Uworld and also get the good LaCharity. Uworld is good for content and LaCharity for priority questions. When you do Uworld, make sure you're ready with your pen and paper because it's a lot of questions about 1900s?

Good luck and you've got this!!

Lol I know. I go to this site every single day after the first time I failed. This site helped me a lot. I did about 1500s questions on PassPoint. The good thing about PassPoint is that when you do quizzes some questions are repeated. So, if you don't get it right the first time or second time then you have to go back and read about it. I did it several times. Lol. Good luck and if you need anything let me know :)

I graduated with my BSN in December of 2017. My school used Kaplan exams. I received my ATT and scheduled the NCLEX a week before my wedding!! ( I shouldnt have done this!) I was completely stressed out and focused on my wedding, my sister went into labor a day before my exam, and my grandmother went into the hospital the week of my exam. I shouldve taken this as a sign to not take nclex. I couldnt focus at all on the exam. I didnt get much studying in needless to say, but I still went for it. I only used Kaplan to study. Nclex took me to all 265 questions!! (so apparently I was borderline), but I failed.

I felt horrible, embarrassed, and like a failure. All through school and college I was a straight A student (or pretty close), until nursing school. I was not one of the strongest in my class by no means. I actually had to review and study materials (and I was still confused when it came to the exams)..... Long story short, I got married, took my honeymoon and came back ready to tackle the test again.

Basically everyone in my class said they used Uworld to study. So I bought it and started at it. I ended up doing about 800 questions prior to taking nclex. I reviewed all the Qbank questions (regardless if I got it right or wrong). I split my tests into increments of 10-20 questions. I didnt get burned out this way and I could review each question (I had it in tutor mode). I did the self assessment a few days prior to my exam and got borderline. I went over things the day/night before and the day of. They say not to, but it kept me calm and relaxed so I did it! I took NCLEX again on May 9th and PASSED! This time it took me to just 75 questions. I felt so prepared with Uworld, it was exactly identical to NCLEX.

This is an amazing story! Congratulations' I hope I am in your shoes soon enough. How many questions a day did you do and how long did you study for? I recently just bought the Lacharity book and I absolutely loved it.

When I used Uworld I did about 50-100 questions a day. When I'm outside, going about or shopping, I used the Lippincott Passpoint and I would do at least 20-50 questions. I used the Lacharity book last, maybe 2 weeks before my exam. Lacharity really sealed it for me. When I was writing my exam, I would see questions with similar format. I knew I was getting priority questions and I absolutely felt that I was above the passing line. You would know if your not because the questions will be knowledge questions and not critical thinking one. Honestly, Uworld and LaCharity are all you will ever need. Prayers of course would be my top priority as well. These 3 helped me a lot to pass.

I gor this for free from my school. I wouldnt suggest getting this if you dont want to spend more money. Lippincott passpoint is an app. It's similar to Uworld per say but the questions are different. It goes by levels. Each level the difficulty increases. I did the 75 questions practice exam twice and I both go the score of Pass. So, I knew I was heading towards the right direction. I also recommend subscribing to Lippincott question of the day. It's free and it email you the questions. I wake up daily doing this question even to now I still do it.
