I passed the NCLEX today 2nd try...Thanks so much to allnurses.com for the amazing and supportive community members on here who encourage, and uplift and advise! I used the Prioritization and Delegation book by LaCharity, I also used the Kaplan NCLEX-RN strategies, practice and review book for 2010-2011. The Saunders book by Linda Silvestri was also really helpful for content.

Congrats!!!

Specializes in Psychiatric, Orthopedics.

congratulations new RN:)

you mean, you passed by only using those 3 books? if u dont mind, how many questions did you answer on NCLEX?

God is good all the time:)

Congratulations! I'm using the same exact materials. Taking my 2nd take by december. Can you share how was your exam like how many SATAs? How did you prepare using those materials? I read the entire Saunder's book during my 1st take and only a few practice questions with La Charity and I failed.

Now I will be taking Kaplan and answering questions on La Charity more and just going over Saunders to better explain the rationale of my wrong answers in practice questions. I hope you can give some tips. Kinda nervous. That flashing memory of doing that PVT trick and getting the bad pop up scares me :(

Hi Roli, I took my nclex today as well and used the pvt trick. My pop up said This candidate has already passed this exam and cannot register to take it again. Is this the same pop up you got and did I pass. Thanks

@jujhen06 ---Yes I passed using just 3 books, and the Kaplan book I can say was the most helpful in terms of how close the questions are worded in the NCLEX. I did the the Kaplan question trainers as well which can be found on line. I only did Q trainer 7 though.

My best advice is know your content!

I passed with 75 questions.

God is definitely good!

@mikepretty06

Congrats to you!

@rodmarkq

Pay close attention to the priority questions in the LaCharity and the SATA's as you will need to have a comfort level with how to answer these types of questions. Also make sure you review the Kaplan strategies book really well.

GOODLUCK TO YOU!

Congrats!!!

thanks :)

Hi,

I'm taking my NCLEX-RN this spring. I just ordered La Charity on Amazon, thanks for the recommendation. What does "SATA" refer to?

Thanks for the info, and congratulations on passing!!!

Julie

Congratulations Roli!!!! Good job!!!:ancong!:

I took my NCLEX-RN on Saturday, November 19th. PVT gave me a good pop-up, but I still cant see my name on BON site....I am getting anxious. Looks like you were able to find your name on a BON site very next day! Which BON are you with? I am in Texas. I am checking every day "Online License Verification", but there is nothing there yet....Am I looking in a right place?
