Hi Everyone,
First, I want to thank everyone who offered their support after I took NCLEX and thought I failed.
Second, to those who have not taken NCLEX yet, please don't be like me and assume that if you go past that "magic" (not) number of 75, that you failed. As Suzanne4 and others have stated, you can fail--or pass--at any number.
Thanks everyone, I think I'll go nap now that I'm calming down. :-)

congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!:smiley_aa :balloons: janie, rn!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for the congrats -- this board is such a wonderful to come for support and guidance and everything inbetween. Thank you!!
To those who have not taken NCLEX yet, here are my 2 cents:
(1) Start studying NOW, no matter where you are in your program. There is so much out there to choose from; pick a few good sources and start doing a few questions every day. For example, I used the Saunders purple CD at home. Check out Suzanne4's tips at the top of this forum. I wish I'd known about it before I took NCLEX, even though I passed.
Or you could download the Mosby's CAT NCLEX prep exam. Someone on this board recommended it, and it sounds like a great idea. It is supposed to mimic NCLEX, with adjusting the level of difficulty depending on how you answer, and then analyzing the correct answers at the end. I think it's good for 30 days, but in my opinion could be well worth it.
Whatever you do, DO NOT wait until after graduation to start studying. It's much easier to do a little bit every day.
(2) Remember that 75 questions is not a MAGIC number for passing!! You can fail at 75 too. You can pass at 265. Or 166, like me. It really doesn't matter. Put a piece of paper in front of the question number on your computer screen and try not to pay attention to it. I got severely rattled when it kept going past 75, and broke out in a sweat at 130. I'd lose my focus, and then smack myself mentally to concentrate. At 140, I thought I was going to throw up or faint. But I was determined to persevere, and you all can too. JUST DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE NUMBER!
Best wishes to everyone out there with NCLEX ahead. You can do it! And thanks very much for the congratulations!
