Hey everyone, I just wanted to share with you guys that I PASSED my nclex-pn exam earlier this week in 85 questions and in less than an hour. I am now a Licensed Practical Nurse!
What I used to prepare: UWORLD, UWORLD, UWORLD!
I swear by it, it really challenges you to think CRITICALLY and will have you totally un-fazed by SATA questions on the actual exam. (Which you should expect to see quite a few, like I did (especially if you're doing well) . (My opinion), the rationales are AMAZING and you WILL learn A LOT!! I brought the 1 month subscription, which consisted of a little over 1k questions.
I also completed the ENTIRE NCLEX-PN mastery app question bank which was also over 1k questions and they have great rationales as well.
I did maybe over 200 SAUNDERS questions online, however I felt like the questions we're pretty easy and didn't really CHALLENGE me like I wanted
Advice: I would really know my ABC'S (Airway, breathing, circulation) you need this knowledge base to help you answer the question and understand which patient takes priority over others. (Maintaining the patients airway is ALWAYS the NO.1 priority)
Also know which patient is MOST AT RISK for infection (open incision from surgery , Immunocompromised? etc), know what types of patients can be roomed together and which patients CANNOT, know peaks of insulin, what patient is at risk for blood clots, and bleeding?
Honestly, the exam took me less than an hour and it wasn't as nerve wrecking for me as I thought it would be. I went in there confident in myself and ready to go!
Remember, you EARNED this opportunity to sit and take this exam, and KNOW that eventually it will be over, and you have to take the exam either way! ( That's if you want to become licensed lol)
P.S the PVT does work!
The "good pop up" will say that their records indicate that you have already registered to take the exam and you won't be allowed to register again.
The "BAD POP UP" (assuming you're using an activated card with little to no money on it), your card will simply be declined (due to of lack of funds on the card) and you will be advised to contact your bank. In other words, you failed and they're trying to take the money off your card so that you can register to take it again.
TAKE THE EXAM, DON'T LET THE EXAM TAKE YOU! Good luck!
Hugs!

Congratulations! I'm using Uworld while waiting for my ATT. Uworld is awesome and I get a better understanding of what the question is asking me with each question. Hopefully I will be testing before this month ends. Congrats again Nurse!!
