Hey guys , so I said I would write a message for anyone who has been in my shoes or similar for guidance! So a little background of me I graduated from a BSN program may 2018 took NCLEX June 2018 only using HURST. Don't get my wrong HURST is a great course to use in prepping for state boards BUT I personally believe it is only beneficial if you want help with content and content only, I do not think HURST prepared me AT ALL for the critical thinking questions NCLEX brought to the table. NCLEX is not like any other nursing test and I honestly believe the best way to study for it is to do QUESTIONS and not just regular questions but advanced critical thinking questions and UWORLD brought that to the table. I failed NCLEX the first time in June with 86 questions which means I did fairly awful. In preparing for the second round I spend my 45 days using Uworld and writing out every rational and studying them. I scored "very high" on the two self assessment exams with being in the 90th percentile the first exam and 77th in the second exam (the second exam is slightly harder in my opinion) I took my retake July of 2018 and passed with 75 questions. I didn't have a million select all that apply so let that rumor go, BUT I did have a lot of random topics that I had never heard of before and priority questions. With all that being said Uworld is the Goat, don't play yourself!
