Specializes in Geriatrics, Family Practice.

CONGRATS!!!! :yeah::yeah:How was the test any pointers that you can offer I will be taking it in a couple weeks after rescheduling twice. Can't seem to grasp what to study I keep losing focus. Please Help!

Here are some things I would focus on:

Know basic lab values and abg's

emphysema, copd, asthma

heart failure right vs left

know basics about cardiac and resp meds

risk factors, s/s for certain diseases

The cancer questions were pretty basic. If you have a basic understanding of the various types and treatments you will do fine.

Good luck.

Hi!

I am about to begin the ASN through Excelsior. I wanted to know if you are using books or solely study guides for your test preparation.

I made the mistake of paying a lot of money for a publishing company. Some of their study guides are stand alone and some use a textbook as well. I would recommend trying to buy them used on ebay. It would be much cheaper.
