I am so excited! Just got my first job as a CNA in a home healthcare agency. Probably not going to be making much $$$, BUT, looking forward to the opportunity and working with clients. Can't believe it. Been out of work from the business world since last November and can't land a job! SO, followed this new calling...took the class, passed the exam, got license approved and got a job. The agency folk are wonderful. Hope I can get some hours in...wonder how this all works. Once I get some experience, I will be looking for an opportunity in a LTC / Rehab. I love being called a "CAREGIVER"! Can't wait to start giving care! :redpinkhe

Ive been out of work since May of last year. But yea good luck with everything and congratulations!!
Congrats to you as well! Where are you located and what will be your duties in the hospital? Just curious!

i love hearing success stories such as yours.. i am in st. petersburg, just got my license.. i too was layed off -- in march.. i was in the corporate environment and this was my 3rd time in a layoff.. so, decided this was the time to make my dream happen.
i am so glad it is all working out for you... i was told by one of my teachers who has been a cna for 15 or more years that home healthcare agency work is great. he mentioned the hours were very flexible.. good luck!!
Thanks FloridaDreamer!! I live in MA. I will be doing and just general rehab stuff floating around in different departments! My test was actually cancelled today!! The test administrator fell on some ice this morning:o:uhoh3: I feel bad of course but know I have to wait to find out when my test is gonna be rescheduled!! Sucks! But yea congrats to you though
