Passed my CNA Exam in FL how do I switch it to my home state MI

Published

For a little while my mom did traveling nursing while in Florida I found a CNA program and took it well last week I had my CNA exam it was scheduled the day before we moved back to MI. I passed my exam and was so excited about it but how do I switch it to MI?

First congrats on passing your test. :)

There is a form to fill out that would exempt you from having to take a class again, and Florida will have to send some papertwork to verify you on their registry. Once you would be aproved, then MI will want you to take the test again here in MI to be able to give you a Mi certifaction. I might be missing some steps, but that is what I remember reading once.

Good Luck, and I hope it won't become to much of a pain for you.

To my understanding, you contact the health department of the county you are moving to, and then there are papers to fill out. I don't believe you have to test again because you are already certified in the current state. I live in TN (really close to the GA boarder) and I was always told for me to work in GA I just have to make a few phone calls and fill out some papers...it could very well vary from state to state. I would call MI Health Department and ask them :D Good luck to you! :3
