Hello! Just created this topic to see if any other new graduates had applied to the fall nurse residency at Parkland. The status I'm seeing under my applications is still "we're reviewing all applications at this time."

Congratulations :) that's really exciting! If you don't mind me asking, what specialty did you apply for?
Happy for you, but I guess it's not a good sign since I haven't heard anything yet.
I did NICU and Labor and Delivery ... what about you ? I only have NICU interview.. Do you work there ?

No actually. I just graduated from my nursing program, passed the NCLEX. I did all of my clinicals at Parkland though. Did a recruiter contact you to schedule the interview recently?
I guess I should probably broaden my search for the next set of residencies.
A recruiter from the NICU sent me an email, I do work there as well. Honestly don't give up, they were super slow in the process of hiring and reaching out to people ! I know from experience .

For NCLEX, I used UWorld and listened to the Mark Klimek lectures and it was honestly enough. I passed in 75 questions. I didn't want to try too many sources and overwhelm myself, so I just stuck to those two. I know UWorld is pricy, but it was honestly worth it.

Hi! Just wondering if your interview went well ? Are you starting in October if so?

Hi, when do the application close for December 2021 graduates?
Is there anyone else who has been accepted for the residency cohort starting October 2021?
