They're pissed you asked them to p/u their kid for further medical assessment by an MD? They can complain all they want, they are ridiculous and need to care for their child. You are 100% in the right

Luckily, I am now at a school who appreciates my experience and knowledge! My principal is great about backing me up.

We have had several complaints via nasty e-mails this year about athletes getting concussions in football. The complaints are not against me but more about "the coach must be doing something wrong by letting them get concussions." What I have noticed in every one of these e-mails is the particular line that has nothing to do with their child's welfare but their own inconvenience "I had to leave work to pick him up and take him to the doctor."

Now, that says it all to me!!!! If you want to wear the blingy shirt that says "football mom" then you need to be prepared for any concussions, fractures, sprains, etc. that go along with participating in a contact sport.

As well, when you have a child and they are not totally surrounded by a protective bubble and are allowed to leave the house - they may get lice, a cold, strep, diarrhea, malaria, abrasions, the flu, and hangnails. Guess what, all of those things are YOUR responsibility based on YOUR decision to have a child.
