Parent to a US Citizen who recently completed nursing school

Hi. I’m a parent to a U.S citizen child. I recently completed nursing school in a foreign country. However, I wanted to know if it’s possible to do the NCLEX straight out of nursing school being that I am foreign trained. I was told it was possible being that I’m a parent to a US citizen child but I am not sure how true that is and if it is what’s the process.
