Hello, I was wondering if anyone works or knows if Paradise Valley Hospital is a good environment for nurses to work in?

I worked there a long time ago as a traveler (1987). I remember it as a beautiful hospital with an especially nice ICU. Not to mention the surrounding environment. It's one of my favorite places.

It's a cozy little hospital and like most valley hospitals is undergoing an nice expansion.

Some anecdotal info on the bad side... During a nursing school clinical (6 months ago), my long term care patient (AHCCCS) had a small stroke and ended up at PV since she was living nearly across the street. According to the LTC staff, she almost died so they had her transferred Scottsdale Healthcare. I don't know why but the LTC staff didn't have very much confidence in PV Hospital.

Just an FYI on quality care comparison between PV and AZ/US hospitals...

Did she go to Scottsdale Shea? I work there and I took care of a stroke pt that came from PV. I wonder if its the same one?

I didn't visit her there but it very well could have been. Some time later I was pleased to see she was back at the LTC site and she didn't appear to lose any function.
