For those of you who got hired, do you mind sharing whats on your application that makes you a competitive candidate? Im planning on applying for the Summer start date and want to be doing whatever I need now to stand out. I have my ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and working on PALS and NRP certifications. I was a CNA for 3 years at sharp memorial in oncology. I am doing an externship at a hospital in Phoenix while finishing my last semester of nursing school. I am worried that because I didn't go to school in San Diego I won't have the same connections that those who did clinicals at scripps might have.

Im most interested in the ED, however im thinking it might be easier to get into telemetry since this is where im doing my externship so I have some experience in this unit.

Is there any other certifications I should be trying to get for ED or Tele?

Thank you in advanced!
