Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone is on the current waitlist for Palomar College in San Marcos? I just contacted them to see if they could give me a rough estimate for a start time (I'm in the low 100's) and they couldn't. Has anybody else had any luck?
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm also on the waitlist (#64) and was wondering when I'll get in. I'm also on City colleges waitlist, which would be closer to me, but I'm number 164 at City. I called and the women was nice, but couldn't give me much of an answer. Have you heard anything else? Have you taken the TEAS test?
Nope haven't heard anything else....yes I took the TEAS back in September. It wasn't all that bad..you just have to use the TEAS study guide. The questions are exactly like the actual test. How long have you been on the waitlists? It's been exactly 2 yrs for me.
Yeah, I took the TEAS test a couple of weeks ago. You're right, it wasn't that hard. I applied in 2008, so it's been three years for me. That's really good that you're already in the low 100's and you applied a whole year after me. You're application must have been one of the firsts that they picked for that application period. Did you apply to any other college in San Diego?

I'm 30 on the waitlist at Palomar and i am offically admitted for Fall 2012 but i may be getting in for Fall 2011 if a few more people decline entry! Ive been on the waitlist now for 2.5 years now. With budget cuts palomar is only accepting 18 students from the waitlist and 18 students from the new application pool.... My suggestion to BOTH of you would be to submit new applications and see if you can get in faster that way. You will not loose your space on the waitlist by applying using the new application procedure. It might be worth a shot :) Good Luck to you both!!
Yeah I have no idea how we were given our waitlist #'s. No I haven't applied to any other programs since Palomar is the closest and I didn't think I would be getting in any quicker to other CC's. I struggled between CC programs and the accelerated 2nd bachelor programs that would get me in quicker. I just couldn't imagine spending $40K plus for another bachelor's degree. Good luck to you!
Chrissybear: congrats on getting into the program, hopefully you get in quicker. It's totally possible that others may decline before this Fall. I agree, I may apply again through the new process. But I have a 5mth old that I would like to be at least 2 before I put him in daycare. So the wait may work a little better for me.
I just got my acceptance letter for Spring 2012. Has anyone else been accepted?
Congrats to you!! How exciting to finally know when you're starting...I haven't heard anything, but I still have a ways to go. Good luck to you, I've only heard good things about the Palomar nursing program :)

I'm also on the waiting list and been on the waiting list for almost 2 years now. I haven't applied to the new admission criteria just yet (application period is not until sept 1st). Does anyone know when the fall cohort starts? I know Spring 2012 starts on January 18, I believe. Also, do they have nights? If I'm not mistaken, isn't that the option 1 or option 2 fo? I just sent them the letter of intent to stay on the waitlist. I'm still on the low 100's

Hi aschm, I just got my acceptance letter via e-mail for Spring 2012 too! I am waiting for an acceptance form in the mail now. It is September 3rd, and the deadline to send it back is September 8th. I'm not taking any chances...I'm turning it in by hand, lol. Congrats to us!! :)
