Starting a column for those of us applying for the fall 2023 cohorts through Palomar and MiraCosta colleges. Good luck applicants!

Yeah. Could you imagine if we applied and gave them paperwork like that? Like, OK, here is my CPR card, and in two weeks you'll get my proof of fluency in another language.. etc.
Also, if I already submitted my official tx, I have to SUBMIT THEM AGAIN? That costs money!
I will be there tomorrow, however unless there is some sort of amazing Fin-Aid situation that I get from being at Palomar....I'm giving MC my best; "heyyyy ? "
Mostly based on organization and communicating expectations clearly and concisely. (Also, smaller class size - which could be hell, but at least I will know what to expect.) I know not all of us have the option of other schools, but the disorganization is anxiety producing when it will be the next 2 years of our lives. I would prefer feeling like a military cadet with rote structure and strict rules rather than just blindly hoping that there are no mixups. </end rant>

Same! I really was expecting more from Palomar. This has all just been a big deterrent for me.
