Pain Mgmt LPN wanting to be Hospice RN

I am currently working as a pain management LPN and I love my job, but I will be graduating from RN school in December and I am very interested in hospice nursing. I decided to go into nursing shortly after my grandmother died from lung CA. During her last few weeks, we had a hospice nurse that would come to our house once or twice a week to check on my grandmother (and the rest of my family). She helped us help my grandmother die with dignity at home. She inspired me to go into nursing. I have enjoyed my nursing career in pain management, but I still think about hospice nursing. I would love any opinions, the good and the bad, about your experiences with hopsice nursing. Thanks!!!!!
