RN post op lap chole, 200mcg of Fentanyl, still severe pain!

I had lap chole yesterday, and I was pretty nonchalant going into the surgery. However, when I woke up in PACU, I was in severe pain, which surprised me. By the end of my time I'm recovery, the nurse told me she had given me 200 of Fentanyl! I would have to say my pain was poorly controlled. I got back to my suite and when I transferred to my bed my pain was 10! I urinated, drank some coke and eat crackers, and was wheeled outta there still in severe pain. When I got home I took 2 tabs of hydrocodone 10/325 and felt much relief in about an hour. I'm just so surprised that something so strong as fentanyl really didnt help my pain at all. Any insight as to why the fentanyl was so poor for my pain control? I consider myself having a pretty high tolerance for pain!
