Have some unforeseen circumstances show up at my doorstep! Man what a weekend. Feeling overwhelmed and anxious but I’m just gonna roll with the punches.

I use a self therapy  called Tapping. Anyone have any other things I can do to help with anxiety?

I'm sorry you are feeling this way. I remember when I used to wake up with my heart wanting to leave my chest; not a good feeling. Over my almost 3 years in monitoring I have learned to meditate and make my mind and my body relax. I have also learned that I have no control over anything and worrying about things are not going to change their outcome. I hope you are able to find what helps you, I'll be thinking of you.

Rosa09,

Thank you for that! Today is better. I need to remember that Somethings just need to run it’s course and worrying about things aren’t going to change the situation.  Thank you for your thoughts!

I've learned how to meditate for anxiety BUT the best time is with water.... either a tub, pool or shower. I learned it long ago to deal with physical pain , sit  in the shower, have the water run over you and visualize all the pain  or stress run down with the flow of water and out of your body.

In a pool is best if you can float on your back and just try to "be one with the world"... sounds goofy I guess, but this type of meditative water therapy has helped me ....

I remind myself to "stay in the moment" and not think about all of the what if's.  I also tell myself- all I have to do is make it through this hour, day ect.
