ORs in the LA area that are new grad friendly?

Hi!

I am graduating this June in a RN program in NJ. I plan on going straight to the OR when I graduate, and I will be looking to move to LA.

Can anyone suggest hospitals that they know are open to hiring new grads to their OR?

Wow, straight to the OR. Good luck on that one, they seldomly hire new grads but it's possible.

As a heads up, the economy in California is horrible right now. There are 1000's of unemployed new grads in California who cannot find work, many hospitals are only hiring "locally" because they already have plenty of applicants who have lived in the area a while.

I would definitely start looking early and talk to recruiters early. I would have a back up plan though now.

Also, in California, everyone just got a 10% increase on their state income tax, so what you make in Cali doesn't go as far as it did anymore anyway.
