Oregon License Endorsement Wait Times?

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am an RN & have my license in both WA and CA (CA being the original state of licensure). I am moving to OR with my fiancé, so I'm working on getting my license endorsed over to OR. Unfortunately, OR will not provide us with processing times. I am wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation to mine that can provide some insight on wait times? Online it looks like 3-6 weeks, but I've heard some people are waiting 3 months? Any insight welcome!

Thank you :)

Granted, I applied 6 years ago, so things could have changed radically. But IIRC it was less than a month.

I sent in my RN by endorsement app on 3/14 from California and completed my fingerprints the weekend after. All my documents are in but they still have not been reviewed and it's about to be 6 weeks. It's extra frustrating because there's really no way to contact the board. Hope this helps and good luck!

Ironically, I just got an email that my license is approved. There's hope! LOL

Oh my gosh!! How funny, I was just messaging you back saying what a bummer and to keep hanging on, but YAY!! Congrats, what a weight of your shoulders!! There’s hope yet ? I’ll keep you updated… I applied late March so im Sure I still have a few more weeks left!

@scarbone Hi again - I have a quick question if you don't mind! I've been looking at my OSBN license tracker every day, and it continues to have these "outstanding items", and I am wondering if your tracker looked similar? I just want to make sure that I have done absolutely everything on my end of things and that these outstanding items are really just there b/c the OSBN has not reviewed my application yet! Thank you ? Tess

"1 Awaiting final application review by staff to ensure all application requirements have been met

2 Practice History Needs Staff Review

3 Transcripts have not been reviewed by Board Staff

4 Verification of initial state nursing licensure is required"

Mine looked exactly like that!

Perfect! Thank you for the reply!

Hey everyone quick question if you did verification through NURSYS do you still have to turn in your transcript?

Thank you

Hey!
From my understanding, yes, you absolutely need to send your official transcripts!

Tess1 did you ever get your endorsement?

I applied May 10 and got everything in immediately. So I'm going on 8 weeks of radio silence and was scolded for requesting an update since I did accept a job...

Just looking for a shred of hope...?

@DreamyBrit

hey!! Yes, it finally came through, took about a month and a week.

and don’t feel bad about bugging them, I emailed them every week saying please give me some shred on insight on where my application is because I have accepted a job offer

they won’t really help you, but it doesn’t hurt to keep asking

hang In there, it will come through! I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, I know how stressful it is
