Oral presentations, how to deal with it?

Published

Hi,

I am having an issue with presentations since high school. I don't know what to do! I heard that in nursing program, there are a lot of presentations.

I feel like the presentation will jeopardize my marks as well as other group members.

I am almost done with school and I have had 2 presentations, and they were both group efforts. If each person does what he/she is strong at, it usually goes pretty well. One important thing is that if a student gets into a nursing program, they must be pretty hard working and smart, so everyone wants to do well. This helps a lot. You will have much more than presentations to worry about, don't sweat it.

The presentations arent too bad, just take a deep breath and do it! A lot of people worry about them but there really is alot of other things to worry about youll do fine just stay confident, and if you mess up who cares? some professors probably remember being in your position and they'll give you another chance. Best Of Luck! :)

Preparation is key. I have never liked presentations, but preparation helps some. Also, I strongly believe group presentations are better than individual presentations.

Thanks for the replies.

It is preventing me from going into nursing program (Which I really want to do)I am too nervous. In high school, when I did presentations, my voice was shaky, stuttered, didn't really have the confidence.
