Burnout or what?

Specialties Operating Room

How can one tell if it's time to change jobs? When do you know if you just need to change employers or make a specialty switch and learn something new? This is very vague, I realize. But, I'm having trouble putting all my thoughts into this message. Where can we find a nursing career counselor?:o

Sounds like maybe a pschologist might be a better solution. Remember your counselor in high school? Nursing career counselors are about the same......matching your position with your interests, abilities and personality. This probably will not address your feelings regarding nursing specialties or your employer, especially if the career counselor is an employee of your current institution. Real burn-out goes much deeper than they are able to detect or handle. Try a mental health specialist. They can be more helpful than you could ever imagine.
