Bachelor's or Associate's in OR?

  1. Do you have to have your Bachelor's in order to go into the OR? Or can you have your Associate's Degree in Nursing? I know its better to have your Bachelor's, but I was wondering if anyone with only their Associate's has been accepted into the OR.

We have both here. Something like that would be facility policy.

The majority of nurses in my OR have their ASN so it doesn't matter around here..

We have both in our hospital...I have an Associates degree..I think they only thing that makes a difference is that we have a thing called a clinical ladder and if you have your 4 year degree you get more money with it...other than that the pay starts out the same and there isnt really any difference...
