Hi Everyone!
This is super early to talk about applying to nursing school for 2016, but it's always better to be well-prepared! Let's share some thoughts and help each other out!
I am re-applying to nursing schools as I did not get in last year, and planning to enroll to more courses for pre-reqs and to increase my GPA (I graduated with a B.A.)hopefully this year will be much better and with luck!!!!
I have a few universities in mind to apply -
Should I apply to more? Which one should I apply? I am super eager to enter the program and I failed once, failing twice is not allowed!
Feel Free to give me suggestions or ask questions! Here is a link I found online listing most of the second entry nursing programs.
Best wishes to everyone! Good Luck!

Where can I find the last day to accept the York offer?
You can find the last day to accept on ouac. In the admission decision column, they will show you when the offer expires.
And this is what it says when you login to York's Myfile regarding alternate offers:
[h=2]IMPORTANT[/h]If you've received an offer of admission – even though it's not to the program you originally applied to – it means that we're interested in you. There may be several reasons for an alternative offer. Visit the Alternative Offers page (Alternative Offers | Future Students | York University) for details.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
@QueensAST how do we get and submit a police record check? I've done it before but employers gave me the paperwork to fill out and they submitted it..
Hey!
Just go to your local hometown police station and request one. You fill out a form there and then they will send it to you completed. In September there is a day that you will bring all your forms including first aid, police check, immunizations etc. and they'll handle them at the School of Nursing when you arrive to Queen's!
Has anyone received an offer of admission from Mac (or someplace else) but does not see it on ouac? How long does it normally take for them to update it?
Received my acceptance on May 20th and I just saw it in OUAC this morning! It was also the long weekend, so I say it takes a couple of business days to appear in OUAC.
For future U of T Nursing students are we supposed to fill out all the required forms (ex. immunization, police check, workplace safety, scan them and then upload them to the website?
Also, on the New Student Police Record Consent Form it states "All undergraduate nursing students are required to submit this form and one original police recordcheck report, in a sealed enveloped using the Clinical Education's drop box or mailed to the Faculty of Nursing, ClinicalEducation Office, 155 College Street, room 130". However, this is an link available to submit this form online also. Does anyone know which method is correct?
Thanks in advance!
The only forms you send hard copies of via post are the police record check and the immunization forms. Remember to make lots of copies and/or scan them for yourself - some clinicals may require to see both and the faculty doesn't print out copies. The other forms can be signed/scanned and uploaded online. There's a link for undergraduate Y1 form submissions.
As for the police record check, you have to drop by the nursing building on College Street during certain hours to collect a specific record check form that is signed by the Program Coordinator (I forgot what his name was). When the record check is done, the original will be sent to your home address.
Hope this helps! The only reason I know is because I'm almost done all of the paperwork, just waiting on the record check to arrive in the post and obtaining my T card.
