I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!
so if we still have "no decision yet" on our status right now, does that mean our chances of getting in are pretty high? im getting so desperate now as ive already gotten rejected to a few schools
Do you mind sharing your GPA and CGPA? I'm waiting on York as well, hopefully we hear back soon!
im an external applicant too, i really hope we can get a response soon. i just went through last year's york 2014 forum and most people received their acceptances in april-late may (around this time). by early june, some people posted that the program was full. hope they're just slow this year.
anybody heard from uoft lately?
I hope this message will help someone...
I applied to u of t and western last year and got waitlisted for both. Unfortunately, I never made it off the wait list for either school. I took more courses over this past year to increase my average and raised my average the best I could. I got accepted to Western today. I am still waiting to hear back from uoft, but just know that if you don't get in this year, there is always next year. I was devastated last year but took that and just tried harder to increase my average and this year I will be attending a nursing school. Keep your head up if you are still waiting to hear, and if it doesn't happen, work your but off to get in next year! :)

This helps me! my average is only 3.1 on the Toronto scale for this last year, thank you for posting this.
I do have a question, you said you took more courses - was it full time load or just a couple of courses. Since I am finishing my degree this summer ( I have 2 more courses that I am finishing at athabasca for convenience reasons) I do not want to take another full time year and waste lots of money.
Thank you

I would never consider it a waste of money if it helps you get into the program you want.
Luckily I only needed to take a couple courses. Last year my average calculated by Western was about 83.35% and the final cut off after the waitlist offers of admission was 83.5% (both of these numbers might be give or take a little I can't remember exactly). I was VERY close last year so I just needed a few more courses to up my average. I worked hard and got 95's which brought my average up the amount I needed.
Best of luck to everyone still waiting. I know how stressful this is!!!
@lalalene Congratulations on your acceptance to Western!
My average is 85.1%, but I am still taking Anatomy & Physiology online through Athabasca University. Unfortunately, my average was not high enough to get a conditional offer. I talked to someone at Western who said that I need to finish the course and send in my final grade to try to get on the waitlist. There's simply no way I'll be able to do this while there are still seats available in the program. By the time I finish this course (I'd say around late July/early August), and send my final transcripts in, the class will be full.
Best of luck to everyone who applied!
