Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Does anyone know if U of T automatically converts my Western GPA (5.0 FCE) using Toronto's grading scale? Or does U of T calculate my GPA based on Western's grading scale?

I'm asking because my Western GPA (5.0 FCE) is 3.69 (B+), but based on Toronto's scale, my GPA would be a 3.71 (A-).

CONGRATS on people who got in. Those waiting, hang in there ❤️

I heard they calculate % average, not GPA, but someone correct me if I'm wrong!

thanks for the reply ? do you know if they also include post-graduation grades too?

So I went on my student account for Queen's and noticed they left a message saying "You have been added to the waitlist for this program".

Has anybody else received the same message? I'm wondering if there's a way to see where we might be on this waitlist by emailing the admissions?

I also got the same message! I'm wondering the same.

Anyone here going to lakehead university compressed nursing. Please reach out

Hey, I'll be attending Lakehead for the compressed program!

Hey guys, question. For uoft, the supplementary application required us to fill out our prerequisites and the grade received in each. I believe the one that asked abt life sciences and physical sciences it says ‘psychology can be taken as only a half course’. I took 2 psychology courses and ended up doing better in one. But I indicated in progress for the one I did worse in. Would uoft only consider tht psychology mark instead of the other because I didn't include it in my supplementary application?

Hey everyone,

Finally got my acceptance from York! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I'm so thankful. Just wondering any other future nurses going to York????? I'm excited to meet you all.?

Hey! So just to follow up I actually sent an email to the admissions to inquire about my position on the waitlist and the response I got was: "Decisions for the waitlist should be sent out no later than early next week."

Thank you! I can't believe it. My GPA for my 5th year was 3.6 on a 4 point scale. But my CGPA is 3.3.

Hey y'all,

For uoft, they request a copy of an official transcript from your post-secondary to upload online (alongside the OUAC transcript) but if my post-secondary can't provide a a physical email or mailed copy(due to covid), or even unofficial transcript for me to upload, then........OUAC should be satisfactory.....atleast I hope, right?

For anyone who has been accepted to Trent compressed nursing so far, what was your GPA for the last 10.0 credits? Thanks in advance ?
