Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB

Hey, I had asked them this question in early March as well and they said any course in philosophy counts. But a philosophy course is necessary to fill that requirement. Therefore you would then need 2 philosophy courses to fulfill both Philo and humanities requirements. I took the meaning of life and it was one of the easier courses in philosophy.
As well as courses with the code "MODR" count to fulfill the humanities/sociology requirement. They have a whole list of courses that fulfill that requirement. If you still have questions, try emailing the nursing department.
I wasn't lucky enough to get into york's nursing but thought I'd share the answer to your question. Goodluck.

Hey thanks for replying so I have already taken a MODR course does that mean I don't need to take a Phil course. Would you be able to link where I could find there list of course that would satisfy the requirement.

I think one Phil course is required regardless of taking any other courses. They actually didn't give me the list nor could I find it online. So, the best thing to do would be to call them or email them regarding it.
Hi, I recently completed a bachelor's degree but was hoping to get my GPA up to apply for a future year. I was wondering if anyone has taken non-degree courses after graduating from undergrad, or has entered a second degree program to get into nursing? Does U of T accept and calculate non-degree courses into cumulative GPA?
I would appreciate any help you can give! ?

uoft does not take non degree for GPA calculation. it will be your last year of degree that will count.
so if you want to increase your GPA, your will have to enrol in second degree program
Does anyone know what the last possible date to get off the waitlist for UofT? I know that some schools can let you know up until the week before school starts... Thankfully I am already completing my CPR, police check, immunization forms etc since I accepted elsewhere in the meantime but I'm assuming they give more time to students accepted last minute to complete the forms/requirements of their program?

I don't have an exact date but at their Q&A session in Feb, one of their students said they got off the waitlist in the last week of August

For those who are on the wait list for UofT and are completing the student preparedness requirements ( CPR, immunization, police record check). Where do we submit these documents if we do not have access to Synergy?
I emailed them, and they said that we just have to collect them and wait until we're off the waitlist. Also, I think it's not possible to do the police record check until we're off the waitlist. Correct me if I'm wrong.
