Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB
Has anyone here ever applied to the uoft program with an interdisciplinary course to fulfill the social sci prereq? I used a nutrition and community course that the nutrition department deemed as social sci but since I haven't heard back about my application still, I'm getting paranoid that nursing didn't accept it

Starting to lose hope for sure, please if you already confirmed a choice, make sure to decline all other offers to give the rest of us a chance!! Thank you
There should be a spot open! I decided not to go to Humber, I hope you get in!
Hey guys I just got rejected from u of t. I checked the portal today and saw it said "refused admission". My GPA for the last 5.0 credits was a 4.0 and my ec's include: 5 years of volunteering at the hospital (three hospitals including a coop placement and 4 other departments), going on a brigade trip, being a research volunteer and completing a research placement, publishing an article, being a residence advisor, being a mentor for international students, and being a swim instructor. However, I made the mistake of not writing my supplementary application well at all. I did not expand on any of my experiences or how they connected to nursing nor did I state the length of time I participated in each experience. Good luck to those still waiting, and if you are in the same boat as me take it as an opportunity to learn and grow and also use this year to increase your experiences and make your application even stronger.

Are you serious? 4.0 with those experiences? Even if you didn't go over each experience in the supplementary application or state how long they were, still rejected? That's unreal and unfair tbh. So sorry dude, your application looks really strong. I hope everything is well with you and that you get in next year ?
I’m so lost. A 4.0 is enough to get into medicine or dentistry. People with less than 4.0 have gotten acceptances into the program.
I would request clarification. I’m so so sorry to hear that. And I wish you the best in all your future endeavours. Someone like you is clearly a hard worker and you will get somewhere even after this small set back. Keep your head up. Maybe something Better is in store for you.
definitely connect with the university to see why that happened. Because that’s a perfect GPA literally. Were all the pre reqs golden?
