Hey stephanie!

I am applying as well! I haven't submitted yet because I am waiting on my rec and touching up my essay but I do want to submit asap because of the rolling admissions.

I'm applying to a few other schools but this is my top choice

Hi Stephanie, I was accepted for the summer 2015 cohort and deferred to spring 2016. I was told that I wouldn't receive any paperwork for the spring cohort until at least August when the first round of accepted applicants begin to receive notification. I haven't received anything yet and don't know if the timing has changed at all. Hope this helps and good luck!

@spt5 and @gobulls thanks for replying! i just got off the phone with nursing CAS and apparently miami changed their transcript requirements and now they want to see your entire transcript vs only pre-reqs so now i have to re submit my application. spt5, congrats on your acceptance. what were your stats like if you dont mind me asking? Im from new york and this is my top choice as well! The anticipation is killing me!

Hi Stephanie Thanks for the congratulations! Since you asked about my stats, here they are...GPA 3.5 All A's in prereqs except for one B plus.

A student enrolled in a current cohort said that most accepted students have A's in prereqs, but I didn't hear that from admissions so don't know for sure. My overall sense is that the prereq grades are important.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you!! I know it's your first choice!

@gobulls When I initially submitted my application, I only entered pre-reqs. However, the woman I spoke to from nursingCAS today informed me that they literally just changed their requirements and now they require all of your grades to be entered. So, as a result my application was sent back to me. NursingCas is really so tedious! I just finished tweaking my application and resubmitted my application again tonight.

@spts Great stats! I have about the same gpa, however I retook Chem since I didnt do so well the first time I took it as a freshman. Have you decided if you will be attending UM?!

Hi gobulls

I was told that the first round of responses would be in August, but I don't know if that has changed. You can always call...

I asked for a deferral because I was taking exams for prereq's when I was supposed to be going through orientation....all because of so many snow days in CT. Miami does allow one deferral.

Hope this helps a little bit.
