Nursing Students School Programs

Hello Everyone,

I am preparing myself to apply for Summer 2018 pacesetter BSN program. We can use this forum for Summer 2018 applicants. I am in the process of taking Hesi exam. I have completed all my prerequisite courses needed for the program.

Little bit about me:

BS in Microbiology in 2005 -GPA (3.05)

MPH degree in Epidemiology in 2012-GPA (3.85)

Associate degree of Science in 2017-GPA (4.0)

Hesi test-will be taking it in August

Working full time with City Health department as an epidemiologist specialist since last five years. I am also a mom of two boys.

Got accepted to MUSC college of nursing program but declined it. Also got accepted to Johns Hopkins Entry into Masters of nursing program for Fall 2017 but had to deffer it to Fall 2018 due to financial circumstances.

Trying to apply for the in-state school due to affordable tuition as well as easy commute.

I really hope i can get into UT Health Science center pacesetter program as it's my first option as it's closest to me as well as it's affordable and one of the best programs in Texas.

Hey everyone! I've applied to the summer 2018 BSN program as well.

My stats:

science GPA: 4.0

cumulative: 3.85- 3.9

Hesi overall: 86.80%

Mathematics-94%

anatomy-80%

vocabulary-94%

grammer-80%

reading-86%

Not to happy about my HESI scores so ill probably take it again if i don't get accepted for the summer term. Best of luck to everyone!

An advisor at the school you are taking prerequisites at told you that?

Yes, I'm currently at Lone Star.

Hey everyone!

I'm a veteran applying for the Summer and Fall 2018 BSN program.

I already submitted my application and am taking the HESI in just a few days. (I'm so so so nervous)

I electronically sent in two transcripts and still have not seen them come up on the application so I'm a little worried about that. Is anyone else unsure if their transcripts made it?

Science GPA is a 4.0

Overall GPA is a 3.59

I Had a few C's from HS dual credit courses I took in 2011/2012.

No previous degree, just a couple medical related classes that I took here and there while serving in the military. I'm not sure if they will even see these though.

I'm taking Micro, Sociology, and and my last elective this Spring.

Praying my HESI exam goes well so I can keep moving foward with all of you!

Good luck everyone!

If you're taking pre-req classes this semester your transcript will remain in your to do list. Then you have to submit your transcript again before the program starts showing you finished the remaining classes.

Hello, I am also applying for the Summer 2018 semester as well!

I have filled out the order form for the HESI A2 transcript to be electronically transferred, however on applyUTH it's still on my to-do list. How long did it take your transcripts to be officially received by UT Health?

Good luck to everyone applying!

It took about 10 days for it to clear from my to do list.

Hi, I am also applying to the summer program!

Cumulative GPA:3.94

Science GPA: 4.0

HESI score: 90.8%

Ok this might seem like a silly question but I wasn't able to attend an info session- do our immunizations and drug screening need to be done by the application deadline? I am just not seeing where to do that in my application portal.

I believe you turn in immunization/drug screenings after you get accepted into the program! So no, you don't have to get it done by the application deadline.

Hey y'all. So, I made a 82.8 on the HESI, have a 3.71 GPA, and 3.6 science spa. Should I even still apply with such a low HESI score?

I've seen HESI scores of 83 get into the program, as long as you scored 75% + on each section then give it a go. Just my two cents :).
