Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Because I got a 73 in the A&P section. Possibly because i hadn't completed the course yet.

Yeah finishing the course helps a lot. Since you'll be finishing with a B, the test should be easier. Good luck!

That's so funny because in February I took my HESI for the first time and got a 73 in the A&P section and an 86 overall average. I was only one month into A&P 2 and figured I bombed that section because I had not finished both courses. I rescheduled my retake for April 10th and when I retook it I made a 98 in the A&P section with an overall average of 95!!!! 870 in critical thinking. I am so glad I retook it because now after I retake my ENGL during summer 1, I will be applying with a score of 7.8. I have a B in ENGL because when I took it I had just given birth to my son, so I ended up missing a bunch of days. I think the professor was actually giving me a break with a B too because, in my opinion, I should have failed.

That was my first time taking it as well and I just wanted to get a feel for it. I have to wait the 60 days to retake but I also got a practice book in the meantime

So we are able to apply to more than one Lonestar?

So we are able to apply to more than one Lonestar?

Yes! On the application it will ask you to list in order your first choice to your least favorable. However, during the spring you only have two choices, cy fair or kingwood. Those are the only two that participate in spring programs.

I'm applying to UTH, SHSU, and lonestar. Yes I have my score is 7.632. I got a 90.80% on the HESI, and an A in Eng 1301 & BIOL 2401 :)

I clicked reply to someone's post and my comment went on the end of the thread! Need to learn how to work this thing!

Do anybody know how many applicants they accept for kingwood?

Do anybody know how many applicants they accept for kingwood?

They accept 80 ADN students and 24 LVN students. They also select just as many alternates in the event that the accepted students give up their spot.
